REVONTULET - NORTHERN LIGHTS
In Finland, the northern lights are called 'revontulet', which means 'fox fires' - a name derived from an ancient fable of the Arctic fox starting fires by spraying up snow with its brush-like tail.

Being able to see the Aurora depends mainly on two factors - the degree of disturbance of the earth's magnetic field at the time and your location. Further considerations are the weather at your location, and light pollution from city lights, full moon and so forth.
