RCMPV ST. ROCH
Between 1940 and 1942 St. Roch navigated the Northwest Passage. It was the second ship to make the passage, and the first to travel the passage from west to east.
ST. ROCH II EXPEDITION
On December 15, 2000, After 169 days and 24,000 nautical miles, the St. Roch II arrived in Victoria, British Columbia, after sailing through the Northwest Passage and then all the way around North America.

While most of their travels remain undocumented, the Inuit and other aboriginal groups are considered the first explorers of the "Northwest Passage" and many other northern areas.
